सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय ने 16 फरवरी को दोपहिया वाहनों पर बच्चों की सुरक्षा के लिए नए नियम जारी किए हैं। जिसके तहत अब दोपहिया वाहनों में चार साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों को ले जाने के लिए हेलमेट और हार्नेस बेल्ट अनिवार्य होगा। इसके अलावा बाइक की स्पीड लिमिट को भी तय करते हुए यह कहा गया है कि- दोपहिया वाहन में बच्चों को बिठाने पर बाइक की स्पीड 40 किमी प्रति घंटे होगी।
