Phone Pay in association with Niti Aayog has come up with an exciting opportunity for the hackers of the country. The leading digital payments platform PhonePe announced the launch of the first-ever open-to-all hackathon. The digital platform will be hosting it in collaboration with the Niti Aayog. The two companies have team up with an aim to showcase path-breaking solutions for the fintech ecosystem.
Open-Hackathon for all
The Hackathon will provide innovators, digital producers, and developers from throughout India the opportunity to think, ideate, and code. The winning teams would receive cash rewards of Rs 5 lakhs. The Hackathon requires participants to leverage any open-data APIs, such as PhonePe Pulse, along with the frameworks such as Account Aggregator as a foundation to power the use cases, such as alternate risk models for lending, ; improved visualisation and derived intelligence based on the digital payments data, innovative products that use the power data signals for various demographics and geos for broader adoption of financial services; insurance or investments with a focus on financial inclusion.
Rules for Hackathon
Teams might contain as few as one person or as many as five. They can enhance their contribution with data from PhonePe Pulse, the Open Government Data Platform, and RBI payment records.
They may also use any other open data platforms they’re familiar with, as well as the Setu AA Sandbox or the Setu Payments Sandbox, to test their hacks. Participants must deliver a functional prototype of their hack to the judges before the end of the event, after which each hack will be evaluated based on specified parameters.
NITI Aayog fintech
Depending on the hacks presented during the hackathon, the judges may choose to award fewer or more awards. The NITI Aayog fintech month commenced on February 7th, and the following week was filled with thought-provoking keynotes, in-depth fireside talks, and panel discussions.
FinTech Hackathon 2022 last registration date
The participants may register themselves till February 23. The final entry deadline is February 25 at noon. On February 21, at 4:00 p.m., there will be a live AMA to address any Hackathon-related questions and on February 28, the winners of the Hackathon will be revealed.
