Avesh Khan of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) was at his ‘level best’ against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 12 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

With his spectacular performance with the ball, Avesh lived up to his INR 10 crore price tag, collecting a superb four-wicket haul to help his team gain their second win of the season. LSG defeated SRH by 12 runs at the D.Y Patil Stadium, with the right-armer picking up four wickets while surrendering only 24 runs in his quota of four overs.
Avesh winning the title of ‘Man of the Match’
The 25-year-old was also named ‘Man of the Match’ for his outstanding effort with the ball. Avesh and all-rounder Deepak Hooda, who hammered a brilliant half-century, chatted to one other after the game about their individual efforts.
Avesh Khan dedicates ‘Man of the Match’ performance to his mother
Avesh mentioned during the conversation that his mother is in the hospital and that he wants to devote the ‘Man of the Match’ trophy to her. The Indore-based speedster also expressed gratitude to his mother for her unwavering support.
“I’d want to dedicate this performance to my mother, who is currently in the hospital.” She provided me with a great deal of assistance. Following the match, I grabbed up my phone and dialled her on a video call to inform her of the results. By God’s grace, she is now fine,” Avesh remarked.
Avesh stated after collecting the ‘Player of the Match’ award that he received a lot of encouragement from the captain and support staff, which was reflected in his performances.
