Through this initiative, the Andhra Pradesh government would grant scholarship benefits to all students who wish to pursue higher education. Scholarships play a vital role in covering the costs of a student’s education. The scheme was announced by Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister. Children from all poor families in the state of Andhra Pradesh will be eligible to receive financial assistance from the government for their higher education under this scheme. They must meet specific qualifying criteria to be considered.

Reimbursement of the fees

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited the fund straight into the accounts of the mothers of the students. Under this program, the government reimburses the complete fees of the students. CM Jagan, speaking on the occasion, stated that education is the only asset that can be given to children. According to him, education results in a change in living conditions.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BCs), EBCs, and Minority Classes would benefit from the scheme. The amount will help the students with their higher education fees. Financial aid will be granted to students who want to study but are unable to pay their fees owing to poor financial circumstances.

Former Chief Minister initiated the scheme

He further said that former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy initiated the complete fee reimbursement program, but it was neglected by subsequent governments. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy stated that the fee refund would offer poor children access to school, allowing them to pursue their dreams without putting a financial strain on their families. On April 5, the second tranche of financial aid under the ‘Vasati Deevena’ scheme would be credited.
