PM Modi to Launch ‘Rozgar Mela’ – Recruitment Drive for 10 Lakh People

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch ‘Rozgar Mela,’ a drive to recruit 10 lakh people, via video-conference on October 22, and 75,000 candidates will be given appointment letters during the ceremony, the PMO said on October 20.

According to the PMO, this will be a significant step forward in fulfilling the prime minister’s ongoing commitment to providing job opportunities for youth and ensuring the welfare of citizens.

All ministries and departments are working in “mission mode” to fill existing vacancies against sanctioned posts, according to Modi’s directives, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.

Recruits from across the country

The new recruits, chosen from across the country, will work in the Government of India’s 38 ministries or departments. The appointees will join the government at various levels in Group A and B (Gazetted), Group B (Non-Gazetted), and Group C. The posts on which appointments are being made include central armed force personnel, sub-inspectors, constables, LDC, steno, PA, income tax inspectors, and MTS, among others.

Ministries and departments conduct these recruitments either directly or through recruiting agencies such as UPSC, SSC, and the Railway Recruitment Board. The PMO stated that in order to expedite recruitment, selection processes have been simplified and made tech-enabled.
