IN HYDERABAD, INDIA’S FIRST WOMEN-OWNED INDUSTRIAL PARK OPENS

On March 8, 2022, India’s first 100 percent women-owned industrial park opened in Hyderabad, Telangana, to commemorate International Women’s Day 2022. This park was launched by Telangana Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.

Green Projects, a 25-woman-owned and run industrial park, has opened its doors. The FLO Industrial Park is named after the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), which is promoting it in collaboration with the Telangana government.

Significance

The FLO Industrial Park, which covers 50 acres is the result of a Rs 250 crore investment. It is a landmark project in India, and it is the first of its type.The participation is open to chapter members and national members of FLO.

“This manufacturing unit is pretty innovative product basis,” FLO National Governing Body member Jyotsana Angara stated. We have invested a total of 250 crores in this park.”

During his inaugural talk, Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao advised entrepreneurs to dream large and start thinking about future technologies, emphasizing the importance of defence, aerospace, food processing, and forging global partnerships. The Minister has announced that the FLO women’s industrial park will be expanded by additional 100 acres.

What exactly is FLO?

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), India’s top industry and commerce group has a women’s section called FLO. FICCI Ladies Organization is the full name of the organization FLO. It was founded in 1983. Professionals, corporate executives, and entrepreneurs are among its members.

FLO is an all-India organization with offices in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Kanpur, Pune, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Indore, Kanpur, Pune, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Northeast, Uttarakhand, and New Delhi.

  • This industrial park has opened its doors with 25 women-owned and run Green Projects.
  • The FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), which is promoting the park in collaboration with the Telangana government, is named after it.
