The Format for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2022

The Women’s World Cup in 2022, also known as the Women’s ODI World Cup, will be contested by eight teams, each of whom will play each other once in a Round-Robin league format. This implies that each team will only face off against the other once. The top four teams on the Points Table will advance to the semi-finals at the completion of the Round-Robin league.
In the Semi-Final, the first-placed team in the Points Table will meet the third-placed team, while the second-placed team will face the fourth-placed team. On April 3rd, 2022, the winners of the two semi-finals will face off in the final.

Prize Money for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2022

The prize money for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 has been upped by double, with the champions receiving a whopping $1.32 million (approximately Rs 10.5 crore). The Runners-Up will receive $600,000, which is around Rs 4.5 crore. Teams that go to the semi-final but are unable to advance to the final will receive $300,000 (approximately Rs 2.28 crore). The remaining four teams will each receive $70,000 for qualifying for the World Cup, while a triumph in the league stage will earn a team $25,000 (approximately Rs 19 lakh).

The ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 will be broadcast live and exclusively on Star Sports Network in India, as well as live streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar.
