HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE IN OLYMPICS, NEERAJ CHOPRA WINS GOLD, BAJRANG PUNIA WINS BRONZE

With today’s win at Tokyo Olympics,
India has broken its own record. Earlier, India won 6 medals in London Olympics
2012. After the historic win by Neeraj Chopra in the Javeline throw, Indian
medal tally at Olympics escalates to 7.

Neeraj Chopra, 23 years old is a
farmer’s son from Khandra village near Panipat in Haryana. He is the first Indian
javelin thrower to enter an Olympic final. Chopra has scripted history by winning
the elusive medal at Tokyo Olympics 2020. His match has ended a wait of 100+
years for India. Neeraj has also become the second Indian to win an individual
gold medal in Olympics.

Meanwhile, Bajrang Punia an Indian
wrestler won Bronze against Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan in the freestyle 65
kg category. It was India’s sixth medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Punia beat
his opponent by 8-0 to win the bronze.

Today marks the end of the Tokyo Olympics
2020 for Indian players. All the participants have done exceptionally well and
made the whole nation proud.
