Good news for govt employees; Odisha govt to increase DA of employees

The Odisha government increased employees’ Dearness Allowance (DA) by 3% with retroactive effect from January 1, 2022, ahead of the festive season.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal. According to a statement released by the CMO, the DA rate will be increased to 34% from the current 31%.

Similarly, the state government has increased the sanction of Dearness Relief (TI) of its retired employees’ pensions by 3%.

According to the CMO, the employees will receive the additional DA and TI amount in their September salary and pension, as well as eight months’ arrears.

Around 4 lakh regular employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners of the state government will benefit from the hikes.
