PM Modi-Putin SCO summit

On September 16, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Russian President Vladimir Putin that the “era of war” is over, indicating India’s dissatisfaction with the Russia-Ukraine conflict. In response, Putin stated that he understands India’s concerns about the Ukraine conflict and promised to work to end it.

Chief ministers of Mizoram, Assam to settle border disputes

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have set September 19 as the date for their meeting to resolve the border dispute between the two northeastern states. After November of last year, the two heads will meet again in New Delhi. So far, it is unknown whether Union Home Minister Amit Shah will join them.
