On 25th November 2021, The Prime Minister of India layed the foundation stone for India’s largest Airport. This airport has been named as Noida International Airport Jewar.
Development work for the airport has started, and its operations will start by 2024. After becoming functional, Uttar Pradesh will hold five international airports, which is highest in counting for any state in India. This will not just attract the passengers but also the boost the region’s economy.
Prime Location
The Noida International Airport (NIA) is being developed close to the town of Jewar in Gautam Buddh Nagar in the NCR, Uttar Pradesh . This airport will be India’s biggest airport after its consummation. It is around 72 km away from the current IGI airport in New Delhi, 40 km from Noida and 40 km from the multi-modal logistics hub at Dadri.
It will have incredible multi-modular availability as it is near the current Yamuna Expressway (Greater Noida to Agra), near Eastern Peripheral Expressway and it will have a connection with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Ballabhgarh, Khurja-Jewar NH 91, connection to committed cargo hall, Metro Extension from Noida to NIA and connection with the proposed High-Speed Rail (Delhi-Varanasi) at the air terminal.
Stage I of the air terminal will have an ability to serve 12 million travelers every year and is booked to be finished in three years. In each stage, the air terminal will extend to serve 70 million travelers before the finish of stage 4, dependent upon traveler development and traffic.
