SHRIKANT JICHKAR, A MAN WITH 20 DEGREES FROM 42 UNIVERSITIES, MAKES HIS WAY

Shrikant Jichkar is a name that many people are unfamiliar with. He was the man who was officially acknowledged as India’s most qualified individual, having earned 20 degrees from 42 university examinations during his lifetime!

By the time he was 25, Jichkar had 14 portfolios under his belt and his name was inscribed in the Limca Book of Records. Jichkar’s title as the country’s most qualified person is undisputed, according to the Limca Book of Records.

During his lifetime, Jichkar earned the following degrees:

1. Medical Doctor, MBBS and MD

2. Law, LL.B.

3. International Law, LL.M.

4. Masters in Business Administration, DBM and MBA

5. Bachelors in Journalism

6. M.A. Public Administration

7. M.A. Sociology

8. M.A. Economics

9. M.A. Sanskrit

10. M.A. History

11. M.A. English Literature

12. M.A. Philosophy

13.M.A. Political Science

14. M.A. Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology

15. M.A Psychology

16. D. Litt. Sanskrit – the highest of degrees in a University

17. IPS 

18. IAS

Clearing the IPS & IAS Examination

Jichkar received first-place honours in the majority of his exams, as well as multiple gold medals. During the years 1973 to 1990, the man took 42 university tests. He resigned soon after passing the IPS exam in order to take the IAS exam, which he passed. He resigned from his office after four months to run in the first general elections.

India’s youngest politician

In 1980, he was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, making him India’s youngest politician. He was also a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, a Minister of State, and a Rajya Sabha lawmaker.

Jichkar’s passion for academics is further evidenced by his personal library’s vast collection of 52,000 volumes. The genius died in an automobile accident at the age of 49.
Only God knows how valuable an academician India has lost as a result of his death. He is certainly an inspiration to everyone!
