Miss India USA 2022 was awarded to Indian American Aarya Walvekar in New Jersey. Being crowned was a significant accomplishment for Walvekar, who wants to pursue an acting career. This year marks the completion of the pageant’s 40-year history.
During a post-event press conference, the 18-year-old Virginia teen revealed that she had wanted to be an actress since she was a child. She was obsessed with movies and television from a young age and dreamed of one day appearing on the big screen.
While participating in debates and cooking are her favorite hobbies, she also cherishes the experience of traveling and exploring unchartered territories.
Walvekar is quite active on Instagram, where she shares important life updates with her followers. She recently took to Instagram to announce that she would be hosting a live event featuring popular Bollywood singers Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan, and Alka Yagnik.
Runner- up of the event
While Walvekar was crowned the winner, Saumya Sharma was named the competition’s first runner-up. Sanjana Chekuri, from New Jersey, finished as the second runner-up. Mrs. India USA was won by Akshi Jain, who is from Washington State.
This pageant is unique in that it is the oldest Indian pageant held in a foreign country. Dharmatma and Neelam Saran, Indian Americans based in New York, established the first Miss India USA competition exactly forty years ago. This beauty pageant has grown in popularity since then.
Dharmatma Saran stated to the media during the 40th edition of the Miss India USA pageant that the entire team is extremely grateful to the global Indian community for its unwavering support of this event and for making it a successful entity.
