The paddy-planting device developed by a young farmer and ITI graduate in Telangana will fully exemplify the proverb "need is the mother of invention." The innovative plan significantly contributed to the locals' financial recovery and the growth of the farming sector.

Kammari Nagaswamy is a resident of Kachapur village in Bhiknoor Mandal in Telangana's Kamareddy district. He received his ITI diploma and supported his family financially by working in a private firm in Hyderabad.

When he decided to purchase paddy planting equipment

Nagaswamy lost his job as a result of the potentially fatal Covid-19 outbreak. Nagaswamy observed a scarcity of agricultural labour to manually plant the paddy. He couldn't understand the farmers' difficulties while growing paddy. He then decided to literally take matters into his own hands by purchasing his own paddy planting equipment.

He began watching YouTube DIY instructional videos to teach himself and had a specific goal in mind: build a machine. Despite his brother Sandeep Kumar's assistance, Nagaswamy needed a year to develop a paddy planting machine. He spent Rs 50,000 on the building. Two 12-volt batteries and a BRTS motor powered the device.

According to Nagaswamy, the machine is powered by batteries, eliminating the need for manual labour. The machinery will plant five rows of paddy at the same time.

Two rods are also attached to the engine in order to accommodate a certain amount of paddy to sow, filling up five rows on the farm field at the same time.
