Overview:
AquaMAP’s goal is to provide answers to the difficulties caused by water scarcity by using smart water management strategies.
Water management strategies will be adopted in a variety of fields around the country and will serve as scalable models for new management technology.
IIT Madras is partnering with IIT Dharwad on the wide theme of ‘Data Science for Water Security and Agriculture Sustenance’ as part of AquaMAP, a national water centre.
AquaMAP’s goal
AquaMAP aspires to:
- The ability to use a consortium method to solve complicated real-world water challenges.
- It aspires to become a company that can provide solutions with a wide range of applications and impact.
- It plans to conduct pilot studies in at least six water innovation villages or towns, which would be displayed as models for policy implementation and water management across India.
- It will also attempt to address at least three chronic water concerns through a series of Grand Challenges and experimental projects.
- This project will also include the construction of a cutting-edge Hydro-Informatics Laboratory.
- A community and alumni engagement model will be developed as well.
