The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has established a 24-hour helpline for digital payment products and services. NPCI established DigiSaathi, a 24-hour helpline for information on digital payment products and services, on behalf of a consortium of payment system operators and participants (banks & non-banks).

Overview

DigiSaathi will be available on WhatsApp, allowing customers to get all the information they need about digital payment products and services. DigiSaathi will assist users with all digital payment queries via the chatbot facility on WhatsApp by simply messaging +91 892 891 3333. The feature will soon be available on other social media platforms as well.” In a statement, NPCI stated.

DigiSaathi, which was recently launched by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), is an automated response system that assists customers in resolving queries related to multiple products and services under the payments system umbrella, including Cards (Debit/Credit/Prepaid), UPI, NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, AePS, NETC, BBPS, USSD, PPI Wallets, ATM, QR (UPI/Bharat), NACH, TR
The Consortium of Payment System Operators and Participants, which includes ecosystem Partners, Banks, Card Networks, PPIs, Fintechs, the Payments Council of India (PCI), and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA), collaborated to put this in place in order to empower people to adopt digital payments with greater confidence.

Customers can access information about any of the digital payment products and services through DigiSaathi, which is available in both English and Hindi. It even instructs them on how to obtain or use a specific product or service.

DigiSaathi also assists customers with transaction-related questions by guiding them and providing contact information for relevant banks/institutions.

The FAQs and automated responses on DigiSaathi are reviewed on a regular basis to provide more up-to-date and accurate responses to callers/users.
