T20I: Deepak Hooda, 4th Indian to score century and recorded highest partnership with Sanju Samson

Deepak Hooda has written his name into the records books with a sensational century against Ireland in the second match of the series on June 28 at the Malahide Cricket Club. The duo of Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson attained a record for India, stitching the highest partnership for any wicket in the shortest format of the game.
Hooda’s efforts have made him just the fourth Indian player in history to surpass the 100-run mark in the shortest format of the game.

List of Indian players to score T20I century

• Suresh Raina
• Rohit Sharma

Rohit has four tons in T20I cricket while Rahul has reached the milestone twice. Raina’s sole T20I ton which came against South Africa in the 2010 T20 WC was the first-ever by an Indian in the shortest format.

Highest partnership in the history of T20 cricket

Together with Sanju Samson, Hooda put up a 176-run partnership for the second wicket. In T20 cricket history, this is India’s highest-scoring partnership.
