UPSC CSE preparation is considered difficult, but many talented people succeed despite the difficulties. Simala Prasad is an IPS officer. Prasad did not use any coaching to prepare for the UPSC CSE, instead relying on self-study. She is now working as an IPS officer in Madhya Pradesh.
Simala Prasad, an IPS officer, was born on October 8, 1980, in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and attended St Joseph Co-ed School. She earned a BCom and a postgraduate degree in sociology from Barkatullah University in Bhopal. She has also won a gold medal in college.
Cracked upsc while working at DSP
After finishing her college, she took a job at DSP. Prasad passed the UPSC exam while working at DSP. Furthermore, she cracked the UPSC civil service exam in the very first attempt. She did not take any coaching and studied by herself while doing a job already.
Simala Prasad has also worked in a film. She played the character of Shammi in the film Alif, which was screened at the 2016 Indian International Film Festival of Queensland and was later released in 2017.
Story of Ananya Singh
Ananya Singh from Prayagraj, like Prasad, passed the UPSC CSE in her first attempt. She became an IAS officer at the age of 22 and achieved an All India Rank of 51. Singh had wanted to be an IAS officer since he was a child. She began studying for the UPSC exam in the final year of his graduation. She used to study for 7-8 hours a day at first. She later set a six-hour study schedule. She also used to study for both the UPSC prelims and mains exams at the same time.
