As per the joint poll released by technology analysis company TechArk and women’s platform Sheetwork, lack of access to technical resources, infrastructure, and mentoring remain the major challenges for non-metropolitan city women to become technology entrepreneurs.

According to the survey, over 48% of women in non-metropolitan areas are interested in pursuing a career in technology entrepreneurship. In the same metro areas, 23% of women desire to start their businesses. In such a case, the government has introduced the campaign ‘Samarth’ to support women entrepreneurship. ‘Samarth’ will support the women in starting their own business and support them financially.
