MISSION AMANAT: NOW TRAVEL WITHOUT WORRY IN THE TRAIN, RAILWAY STARTED A NEW INITIATIVE TO TRACK THE LOST LUGGAGE

Operation Mission Amanat: Luggage is the main concern for passengers while traveling. In India, several cases are seen regularly where the passenger’s belongings are lost or misplaced. Thousands of railway passengers’ belongings worth crores of rupees are lost in trains every year. Getting the lost items back proves difficult for a common man. Western Railway has introduced a new initiative to help travelers with this issue.

To track the lost luggage of passengers the Indian railway has launched the operation ‘Mission Amanat’. Now Indian Railways passengers will no longer have to worry about their luggage while traveling. Under this new initiative, they will be able to retrieve them quickly following verification!

Western Railway’s Mission Amanat

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) plays a major role to ensure the safety and security of passengers, as well as their luggage and belongings. In this regard, the RPF has launched “Mission Amanat,” which makes it easier for railway passengers to retrieve their misplaced luggage. According to a press release issued by Western Railways, the details and photos of lost luggage and belonging will be posted on the zonal railway’s official website under the new Mission Amanat initiative.

Goods returned to their original owners

According to a press release issued by Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer, the RPF of Western Railway Zone recovered goods worth Rs 2.58 crore belonging to a total of 1,317 railway passengers during the year 2021, from January to December. The officers returned the belongings to their original owners after proper verification. As part of Operation ‘Mission Amanat,’ the Western Railway RPF is offering this service to the travelers.
