I am passionate about education. It’s something that will help our country flourish, as well as allow students to pursue their aspirations and move forward despite socioeconomic restraints,” says ArpitaChowdhury, the founder of the Jazbat Foundation.

With this thought, Chowdhury launched the Jazbaat Foundation in March 2020, believing that education should be accessible to all. Her initiative aims to educate and empower students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Founder of Jazbaat foundation

20 year old, ArpitaChowdhury is a third-year student at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. She created the #EducationforAll initiative through the Jazbaat Foundation. The goal of the initiative is to ensure that underserved kids do not suffer academic difficulties or learning loss during the hard times of Covid. Thus along with a few, she launched the Jazbaat Foundation. She got the concept for Jazbaat Foundation while teaching a few tribal youngsters at the Rajendra Ashram in Pandav Nagar.

Bridging the economic and digital divide in education

The Voluntary Teaching Programme includes five members of the Jazbaat Foundation’s core team, as well as 30 volunteers from institutions around Delhi-NCR. This program aims to close the economic and digital divide that exists in the field of education even today. They also intend to provide vocational training and financial independence to the youth.
Although the organization began by assisting young boys from tribal households in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, it today also assists boys and girls from economically disadvantaged homes in Delhi-NCR.

The goal of Quality Education

Jazbaat Foundation provides one-on-one virtual tutoring and organizes webinars and workshops in partnership with mental health specialists and career counselors, providing unique solutions outside the confines of basic education.

Working with Microsoft Office, career counseling, time management, email writing, and other topics are covered in these sessions, which provide a holistic approach to leveling the playing field for these young people.
