HOW TO GET E-AADHAAR WITHOUT USING YOUR AADHAAR NUMBER OR ENROLMENT ID

In India, the Aadhaar Card has become one of the most widely used forms of identification. Aadhaar is also one of the most commonly accepted forms of identification in the country. Citizens must present their Aadhaar card to open a new bank account, acquire a new SIM card, or even undergo Covid-19 vaccine and tests.

Every Aadhaar Card now has a 12-digit unique number known as the Aadhaar Number or UID, which is crucial to remember in case you need to download the e-Aadhaar on your smartphone.
The Enrolment ID, is a 28-digit code provided during the enrolment procedure, is another means to download the e-Aadhaar.

Yet what if you can’t recall any of them but still want to get your Aadhaar card?

There is a technique to accomplish this as well. However, it should be noted that in order to download e-Aadhaar, you must have your UID or EID on hand.
So, here we’ll show you how to regain your Enrolment ID or Aadhaar number if you’ve misplaced or forgotten it, and then use it to download e-Aadhaar.

Things to be on hand before starting the steps:

  • Full name as it appears on the Aadhaar card
  • Registered Phone number to get OTP, UID, and EID

Steps to get your Aadhaar or Enrolment number

1. Go to https://uidai.gov.in/ on your phone or computer.

2. Scroll down and select ‘Get Aadhaar’ from the drop-down menu.

3. Now, go to the Retrieve EID/UID page and click it.

4. Select Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID on the next page.


5. Enter full name as it appears on the Aadhaar card, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and Captcha.
6. Please submit your OTP.

The Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID will be sent to the registered phone number after that. You may now download e-Aadhaar using your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID.

How to get an e-Aadhaar card with Aadhaar Number

  1. Return to the UIDAI website’s homepage and click the Download Aadhaar link.
  2. Select Aadhaar Download from the drop-down menu.
  3. If you have the returned Aadhaar number, select Aadhaar number; otherwise, select Enrolment ID and enter it.
  4. Complete the captcha and then click Send OTP.
  5. To download e-Aadhaar, enter the OTP you received.
It’s also worth noting that the e-Aadhaar you download will be password-protected. The password is made up of your first four letters in capital letters and your year of birth in YYYYY format. For example, if your name is XYZA and you were born in 1990 ,your password will be XYZA1990.
