Govt to honour the creator of Tricolor and release Har Ghar Tiranga theme song

The union culture ministry will commemorate the birth anniversary of Pingali Venkayya, the designer of India’s tricolour, in the presence of home minister Amit Shah.

The ministry has planned an event on August 2 to commemorate Gandhi’s birth anniversary and has invited his family members to attend.

Release theme song for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

According to sources, the union home minister will also release a theme song for the government’s Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which was launched under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction. “It has been done in Mumbai and it’s a beautiful song,” stated a source.

Ashwini Vaishnav, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Meenakshi Lekhi, and Devusinh Chauhan are among the other ministers expected to join. In addition, on August 3, MPs will embark on a bike rally from Red Fort, which will be led by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu.

G Kishan Reddy, the minister for culture and tourism, visited Pingali Venkayya’s village in Andhra Pradesh and honoured his family members. He also went on a Tiranga Yatra as part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, which was launched as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations for the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

Venkayya created our national flag

Venkayya created the flag that serves as the basis for the national flag.

The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has already begun to be planned by the government. Cabinet Secretary Rajeev Gauba recently presided over a meeting of the secretaries’ committee to ensure that the people-centric programme becomes a Jan Bhagidari movement.

In his Mann Ki Baat radio show, the Prime Minister urged everyone to change their social media profile pictures to those of the national flag. He also urged all citizens to fly the tricolour from August 13 to August 15.

While the government has asked all secretaries to help make the campaign a success, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has also assigned tasks to its members and leaders in order to ensure that as many households as possible hoist the flag.

BJP chief JP Nadda has asked party leaders to push for enough publicity programmes from August 9 to August 11 to create a patriotic atmosphere, including Tiranga Yatras, hoarding displays in public places, and prabhat pheris.
