The Indian government plans to complete the 2047 plan by May 2022. A Sectoral Group of Secretaries is drafting the plan. The sectaries, in other words, come from ten separate sectors. They will devise a strategy that will begin this decade.

Vision India 2047’s goal

The vision’s goal is to develop an action plan. A road map will be produced for each sector as part of the plan. The plan’s implementation will begin this decade.

The vision’s principle

  • The vision is based on a “whole-of-government” or “whole-of-country” approach.
  • The plan will help the government develop competence
  • It will make use of international funds.
  • It will entail international collaboration.
  • Experts from several sectors will collaborate to create a “Future India” template.

Priorities

Prioritization will be given to the following:
  • To create a new generation of agriculture
  • Cities that are prepared for the future
  • To foster an environment that encourages the creation of Indian global champions.
  • To take advantage of the country’s expanding soft power.

What exactly is New-Age agriculture?

It addresses concerns such as climate change, water shortage, land scarcity, and a growing population. Crop productivity per field is increased using New – Age agriculture. It encourages people to use more current technology. It restricts the amount of water used. It creates crops that are resistant to the effects of climate change. It also contains improved seeds, agriculture machinery, and other items. It makes use of end sensors to deliver information about soil, ambient, and crop conditions.

What do future-ready cities entail?

By 2030, the United Nations estimates that over five billion people will live in cities. Cities also make up only 3% of the total land area on the planet. However, they account for 60 to 80 percent of total energy use. Cities that are future-ready are those that are equipped to confront these challenges. Such cities urge its residents to build upwards. They advocate for a move to electric power in order to cut carbon emissions. They also promote underground construction, as well as climate-resilient activities and building.

Concerning the strategy

The initiative will help India celebrate its 100th year of freedom. It will set goals that must be met within 25 years. It will begin by freeing up India’s overseas defence acquisitions. It will enable India to become self-sufficient. It entails reorganizing the public sector banks. Three to four large banks are to be merged as part of the plan. Its goal is to create semi-conductor compounds. The government’s processes will be overhauled. It will end the government’s intrusion into citizens’ life that is currently taking place.

The objective is to construct ten scientific and technology labs. The goal is to transform India into a global hub for skill development. Its goal is to create at least ten Indian institutions and place them among the world’s top hundred. The SGoS has been tasked with conducting a gap analysis between the public and private sectors. The plan will primarily concentrate on eleven industries.

What are the 10 industrial sectors?

Agriculture, urban landscape, infrastructure, defence, science and technology, government, banking, oil and gas, and other topics will be addressed in the plan.
