Ganesh Chaturthi 2022 Story

Ganpati was created by Goddess Parvati, according to Hindu mythology. In the absence of Lord Shiva, she made Lord Ganesha out of sandalwood paste and placed him on guard while she went for a bath.

While she was gone, Lord Shiva got into a fight with Ganesha because he refused to let him in as per his mother’s orders. When Lord Ganesha refused to let him go inside despite his repeated requests, Lord Shiva became enraged. When Lord Shiva saw this, he became enraged and severed Ganesha’s head. When Goddess Parvati saw this, she transformed herself into Goddess Kali and threatened to destroy the universe with her rage.

Everyone became concerned and asked Lord Shiva to find a solution and calm Goddess Kali’s rage. Lord Shiva then directed his followers to find the head of any child while keeping the child’s mother’s back to the child. The first child seen by the followers was an elephant, and they cut off the baby elephant’s head and brought it to the Lord. Lord Shiva immediately placed Lord Ganesha’s head on his body, and Lord Shiva regained his life. Goddess Parvati returned to her normal form after seeing Lord Ganesha alive, and all the deities blessed Lord Ganesha, and this day has been celebrated as Ganesha Chaturthi since then.
