Highlights-

  • EVC will launch a CSR initiative to provide free online curriculum-liked education in a vernacular language.
  • The platform will provide high-quality educational information in local languages that are aligned with the Gujarat State Board curriculum.

The recent surge of COVID-19 cases has resulted in school closures. To continue the education, the government schools and their students require a parallel digital structure through which quality education may be provided to government school students. In such circumstances, a company has come forward to help the students through CSR initiatives.

Everest Kanto Cylinders (EKC), a high-pressure gas cylinders manufacturer, announced that during the current academic year, it will launch a CSR initiative to provide free online curriculum-liked education in a vernacular language. The platform will provide high-quality educational information in local languages that are aligned with the Gujarat State Board curriculum and may be read online or downloaded to a device for later viewing.

Program for government school students

The initiative aims to help students in Classes 9 and 10 in 35 government schools in Gujarat’s Kutch district. The project will first help students in grades 9 and 10 from schools in the Gandhidham area of Kutch. Following that, the project will be expanded to include children from other classes and Gujarat areas.

Helping students in local language

This initiative is developed and implemented by ConnectEd Technologies. It intends to offer high-quality vernacular instructional content to government school students to improve learning results, particularly during the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, according to the statement. This project is expected to assist more than 7,500 students from 35 government schools, according to the reports shared by the company.
The firm has invested Rs 20 lakh in the first year for this initiative.

Throughout this campaign, ConnectEd Technologies will work with government schools to educate parents and kids about the platform, which allows them to access curriculum-linked educational content for free using any device and connectivity they have available.

Platform to provide quality education

Kutch District Education Officer B N Prajapati remarked, “We are grateful to EKC and hope that other organization would come forward to support this program and ensure that it helps every kid in Gujarat.”
Pushkar Khurana, Chairman and Managing Director of EKC, stated, “While mounting our social response to people afflicted by the pandemic, we discovered that it was vital to support a program that provides quality education to government school students during a period when schools were closed. We are encouraged by the reaction from government officials and grassroots educators.”
