DELHI GOVERNMENT TO INTRODUCE ARMED FORCES PREPARATORY SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS PREPARING FOR DEFENSE EXAM

NDA exam is considered to be one of the toughest examinations of 12th level army recruitment. Every year thousands of candidates appear in this examination, but only a few students are selected. In order to help the students with its training, The Delhi government is all set to introduce the armed forces preparatory school in the national capital soon.

It is a golden opportunity for students who desire to prepare for NDA or any other defense exam. The construction of the Armed Forces Preparatory School is already started in the city. The responsibility for the school has been given to the shoulders of the retired officers. The Retired army personnel will identify new talent and train them to join the army. The Delhi government’s ‘Deshbhakti Budget’ initiative will fund the establishment of this school.

Armed Forces Preparatory School

According to the official, the Armed Forces Preparatory School will be affiliated with the Delhi Education School Board. The syllabus will also be prepared by the School Board of Delhi Education itself. 100 students will be given admission in the first batch. All these students will be given NDA training.

Which students will be allowed to attend Armed Forces Preparatory School?

The Armed Forces Preparatory school will have classes from IX to XII, with admissions for 100 students in each class. Each class will consist 60 boys and 40 girls. 50% of the school’s admissions will be reserved for the students from government and government-aided schools.

Candidates will take an aptitude test that will include topics such as mathematics, English, and general ability. It will be followed by an interview and medical screening, with only those students who meet NDA’s requirements being admitted.

Wings at Armed Forces Preparatory School

There will be an academic wing and a service preparatory wing at the school. The academic wing will focus on basic courses such as Math, English, Hindi, General Sciences, and Social Sciences in classes IX and X. For the students of classes XI and XII, academic training to prepare for the National Defence Academy and other entrance examinations will be given.

Whereas on the other hand, the services preparatory wing aims to instill officer-like attributes in students by nurturing the identified potential and improving on the identified gaps/working areas. Selection board training cycles, personality development capsules, and spoken English and verbal expression training sessions are all promised by the institution.
