Facts to Remember
In 2021, the AAI airports of Chennai, Goa, Kolkata, Patna, Pune, Chandigarh, and Bhubaneswar took part in the ACI-ASQ (Airport Service Quality) survey. The “voice of customer programme” was started by ‘Airports Council International’ to recognize airports that were devoted to making sure their voices were heard and that their customers were prioritized even during the Covid-19 outbreak.
About ASQ survey
ASQ is a globally recognized and internationally established global benchmarking programme that measures passenger satisfaction while travelling through an airport. Airports Council International (ACI) is in charge of the event.
The ASQ Awards
These awards honour airports around the world that, in the view of their passengers, provide the finest customer service. The ASQ programme provides a research tool and management information to help better understand passengers’ perspectives and what they want from an airport in terms of services and products.
Airports Council International (ACI)
ACI represents the world’s airport authorities in the development of standardized industry practices that promote airport standards on a global scale. It is based in Montreal, Canada, and was founded in 1991. Around 2000 airports are operated by ACI members. Airport Service Quality Awards (ASQ) and safety enhancement (APEX) are two major programmes based on passenger satisfaction ratings. Economic development, carbon accreditation, operational security, and human trafficking are among the other activities.
