Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for nine NH (National Highway) projects of 243 km length worth Rs 1,357 crore in Rajasthan on June 27.
Boost business for the granite industry
Speaking at an event, Gadkari said that widening the Ninawa section from Sanchore on NH-168A in the Rajasthan will boost business for the Chalaur district’s granite industry and make it simpler for farmers to reach Suratgarh Mandi.
Increase India’s strategic strength
Further, the minister stated that the two-lane Sriganganagar to Raisinghnagar on NH-911 and the Sriganganagar reinforcement from Suratgarh on NH-62 will make it easier to reach the international border and the military station on both sides of the road, thereby increasing India’s strategic strength.
Boost local people’s income
According to Gadkari, Rajasthan will advance and develop as a result of increased job opportunities and improved military communication across the border. He added that along with reducing the level crossing traffic delay, the construction of ROB will improve connectivity between tourist destinations of Gujarat and Rajasthan, ultimately giving a boost to local people’s income.
25 more bypasses in Rajasthan unveiled
During the ceremony, 25 new bypasses in Rajasthan were unveiled, totaling Rs 5,000 crore. In addition, as part of the Setubandhan Yojana, Rs. 200 crore has been set aside for ROB on state highways. Simultaneously, Rs 900 crore in CRIF and Rs 700 crore in Setubandhan Yojana for Rajasthan were sanctioned.
