THE ‘WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL BUILDING’ OPENS IN DUBAI

The Museum of the Future opens in Dubai. Dubai’s Museum of the Future, hailed as the world’s most beautiful structure, opened on 22nd Feb 2022. The museum is a seven-story hollow silver elliptical with Arabic calligraphy phrases from Dubai’s ruler adorning the walls.

The Museum of the Future

Another landmark tower, dubbed the world’s most beautiful building, has recently opened in Dubai. The building is actually a museum dedicated to the future, named the ‘Museum of the Future.’

Designs that are futuristic

The nine-year-in-the-making museum features a colossal seven-story circular building with a height of 77 metres and a floor area of 30,000 square metres. The massive edifice is just a short distance from the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, another renowned structure that has long been a part of Dubai’s skyline.

A museum that is always evolving

According to a news release, the Museum is a permanent exhibition of exciting visions for humanity’s future and a global centre for inspiration, creativity, and the development of solutions to challenges and possibilities in human progress.

During a glitzy opening ceremony, Mohammed Al Gergawi, UAE Minister for Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Dubai Future Foundation, said, “The Museum of the Future is a ‘living museum,’ constantly adapting and metamorphosing as its very environment drives continual and iterative change to its exhibits and attractions.”

Made of Steel

The structure, designed by Killa Design architect Shaun Killa, is a remarkable accomplishment of computer-aided design and engineering.

The façade alone took 18 months to build and consists of a complicated assembly of four-layer composite material panels, each needing over 16 process stages. It is made of stainless steel and contains 1,024 pieces of art fabricated utilizing robots uniquely able to generate the demanding designs.

Powered entirely by renewable energy

The museum is lit by 14,000 meters of light lines that trace Arabic calligraphy and symbolize three future quotes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai. A specialized solar park provides the museum with 4,000 megawatt-hours of solar power each year.

From the inside, it appears to be large

The Museum has a number of interactive exhibits where the general public can learn about and be inspired by many areas of future thinking.

The museum’s multi-use auditorium, which can hold over 1,000 people, and unique hall for interactive lectures and workshops, which can hold over 345 people, are at its heart.
