Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye – Spreading Cancer Awareness and Saving Lives

Losing a loved one is never easy, but sometimes it can be the catalyst for starting a movement that can save others. This is exactly what happened with Shilu Luniya and Dr. Mukesh Shah, who formed an organization called Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye in 2020 after losing their loved ones to cancer.

Their goal is to make people aware of diseases like cancer and to prevent others from suffering the same loss they did. Through seminars, free cancer screening camps, and treatment for those diagnosed, Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye has made a significant impact on many people’s lives.

Visiting cancer wards, playing games with patients, and spending time with them have been an essential part of their mission. The mental toll of cancer can be overwhelming, and the organization’s aim is to provide emotional support to patients and bring a smile to their faces.

Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye’s Efforts

Lack of awareness can often lead to delayed detection of cancer, which is why Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye has formed a group of doctors to conduct seminars and educate people on the symptoms and prevention of cancer. Getting people to attend these seminars can be a challenge, but the organization’s members go out into the community and invite them to participate.

Its impact

Started with only three members has now grown to 40-50 members who actively work to spread awareness and take those who are diagnosed with cancer to the hospital for treatment. Over the last three years, they have organized eight to ten seminars and camps, resulting in the early detection of cancer in many cases.

During these seminars, people are taught how to perform self-examinations, which has led to the early detection of cancer in some cases. With counseling and support, those who are initially reluctant to undergo testing eventually agree to be tested.

In conclusion, the loss of loved ones to cancer inspired the formation of Kahin Der Na Ho Jaye, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and preventing others from suffering the same fate. Their efforts have made a significant impact on many people’s lives, and their kindness and support have brought hope and joy to those battling cancer.
