Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel announces Gujarat’s first ever ‘Cinematic Tourism Policy’ in the presence of dignitaries including actor Ajay Devgan, State Government Minister Shri Purnesh Modi, and Shri Arvind Raiyani.
The CM expressed confidence that this cinematic tourism policy will help to develop Gujarat’s film infrastructure. Gujarat is a policy-driven state that has emerged as the top destination for global investors.
Gujarat CM’s confidence
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this policy will benefit a self-sufficient India by constructing a self-sufficient Gujarat. This policy will also provide an unprecedented boost to tourism development by bringing together film industry service providers on a single platform.
This new policy will provide viable opportunities for film production in Gujarat, as well as job opportunities for locals.
In his address, famous actor Ajay Devgn stated, it is a pleasure to be present at the launch of this Cinematic Tourism Policy. I am pleased that the Gujarat government has announced the Cinematic Tourism Policy”, he said.
Concerning his interactions with Gujarat according to Ajay Devgan, the culture, localities, and various Gujarati cuisines here charm me. For many years, I have been involved with Gujarat. The film industry will benefit greatly from this policy.
According to Tourism Minister Shri Purnesh Modi, this Cinematic Tourism Policy will be critical in promoting Gujarat tourism. And this policy will create jobs in Gujarat.
In his welcome address, Shri Hareet Shukla, Secretary of Tourism Department, stated that people remember the location shown on the big screen and it later becomes a tourist destination. The film introduces us to many such locations both in the United States and abroad.
Places in Gujarat that can be a shooting locations
There are numerous locations in Gujarat, such as the White Desert of Kutch and Shivrajpur Beach, that have the potential to become shooting locations. He also expressed confidence that the Cinematic Tourism Policy will increase shooting opportunities in Gujarat for the film industry.
Four MoUs worth Rs. 1022 crore for investments in various subjects including film making, studio infrastructure, acting schools in Gujarat were signed by some investors with the tourism department. Ajay
Devgn also signed MoUs for film making and studio infrastructure and other facilities in the state.
On this occasion, a short film about Cinematic Tourism Policy was also shown. Shri Alok Kumar Pandey, State Tourism Commissioner and MD of TCGL, thanked the dignitaries present and those associated with the film industry for their participation in the event.
