

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced Class 10 results hours after declaring Class 12 board exam results, showing that 94.40 percent of students passed the exam, with girls outperforming boys by 1.41 percent.
This is the first time the CBSE has released results for both classes 10 and 12 on the same day.
Passing percentage of girls and boys
Girls performed better (1.41 percent better than boys) once again, with a pass percentage of 95.21 percent compared to 93.80 percent for boys. In the class 10th examination of 2022, a total of 2,36,993 students scored more than 90%.
Trivandrum had the highest pass rate of 99.68 percent, while Guwahati had the lowest passing rate of 82.23 percent.
The CBSE board announced that the Term 1 paper would receive 30% weightage and the Term 2 paper would receive 70% weightage.
It should be noted that the CBSE changed the exam pattern and held Term 1 and Term 2 examinations, with the former being a 90-minute objective and the latter being a two and a half hour paper.
