Umran Malik , pacer of Sunrisers Hyderabad won the award of ‘fastest delivery of the match’ for the 14th consecutive time on May 22.
Clocked 153.5 kmph in the last league
The pacer, Umran acheived this feat by clocking 153.5 kmph in the last league stage match of IPL 2022, between SRH and Punjab Kings, at Wankhede Stadium on May 22.
Got Maidan tean India call up
Apart from this, Umran also got his maidan Team India call up for upcoming T20 series against South Africa in June 2022. Umran ended his IPL 2022 campaign with total of 22 wickets in 14 matches, at an average of 20.18 .
Umran’s performance couldnot save SRH from losing with five wickets against PNKS on May 22. Liam Livingstone’s unbeaten knock of 49 helped his team to chase the target of 158 in just 15.1 over.
Shikhar Dhawan and Jitesh Sharma, on the other hand, scored 39 and 19 points, respectively. Earlier, three-wicket hauls by Harpreet Brar and Nathan Ellis reduced SRH to 57/8. Fazalhaq Farooqi grabbed two wickets for SRH, while Jagadeesha Suchith and Washington Sundar each took one.
With this victory, PBKS finished the IPL 2022 season with 14 points, while SRH finished with 12.
