Andre Russell of KKR has become the fastest batter to reach 2000 runs in terms of balls faced in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He accomplished this feat during KKR’s match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 14 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune.
Russell became fourth batter to score over 2000 runs
During the match, he played an unbeaten knock of 49* in 28 balls, which included 3 fours and 4 sixes. During the match against SRH, Russell also became only the fourth Knight Riders’ batter with over 2000 runs in the tournament. Former KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir (3345), Robin Uthappa (2649) and Yusuf Pathan (2061) are the other three players in the list.
