On 13 May birthday of Ravi Shankar popularly known as Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is celebrated who was a popular religious leader in India.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was born in the year 1956 in Papanasham, Tamil Nadu. He is widely respected as religious guru or spiritual guru. He is frequently referred as “Sri Sri”, an honour given to Gurudev or master.
He runs his centres in India and a few other countries around the world.
His humanitarian Work
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is involved in many peace and humanitarian work. He visited Pakistan in 2004 on a mission of goodwill. For inaugurating his Art of Living centers in Karachi and Islamabad, he visited Pakistan again in 2012. The Prime Minister of Iraq invited him. He visited Iraq in 2007 and 2008 and met various religious and political leaders to promote peace around the world.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was widely involved in many social initiatives, such as India Against Corruption, Volunteer for a Better India, and NONVIO Movement.

Founded Many Organizations
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar founded many charitable trusts, foundations, and organizations. Some of them are, Art of Living Foundation in 1981 whose aim was to relieve stress, World Forum for Ethics in Business, and International Association for Human Values. Art of Living Foundation is the primary and main foundation for his social work.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was an humble person whose vision is to “ create a world free of stress and violence through wisdom” and he influenced so many people.
