

The much-anticipated Argi-Carnival 2022 in India is set to open today, on October 14, 2022. This 5-day event, organised by the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, will feature 9 events, including an international workshop; nares capacity building events; plenary & invited lectures; stakeholder interaction; experimental field visits; poster sessions; exhibition and product display; farm visits, discussions of bilateral projects, south-south collaborations, the CG agri-fest, and more.

The carnival is sponsored by the Chhattisgarh Agriculture Department, Chhattisgarh Biotech Promotion Society, International Rice Research Institute, Manila, NABARD, and the Agriculture and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA).
The inaugural event will be presided over by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahant and will be presided over by Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey. On October 16th, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will address a farmer’s convention, and Governor Anusuiya Uikey will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
The platform will bring together farmers, students, researchers, traders, and agri-exporters in one location with the goal of brainstorming solutions with national and international stakeholders for regional issues and ideas to address Chhattisgarh’s food and nutritional security. During the carnival, there will also be workshops on innovation and a symposium on the export and processing of minor forest products.

Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV), Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India, was founded on January 20, 1987, and is one of India’s most prestigious State Agricultural Universities.
