• By taking a carbon-negative approach throughout its production
The makers announced on Sunday 5th June that a feature film based on the life of environmentalist Binish Desai is in the works.
On the occasion of World Environment Day, production company NH Studioz announced that it has officially acquired the film rights to Desai, also known as the Recycle Man of India.
According to a press release issued by the producers, the untitled film will be “an expansive biopic on Desai that begins from his childhood and progresses to his experiences as a young environmentalist.”
Film is Motivational and inspiring
Desai stated that the purpose of this film is to teach young children that no matter their age or where they come from, if they have an idea, they should pursue it.
“Life is all about failures and how we learn from them in order to overcome obstacles and realise our dreams.” My journey is about the challenges, failures, and obstacles that I encountered, whether it was losing everything, being held at gunpoint, or being labelled insane for working with waste. Despite all of this, a boy was able to pursue and realise his dreams,” the environmentalist said in a statement.
Film is about a young man’s journey to save planet
“While the film is about a young man’s journey to save our planet, at its core it is an inspiration for the next generation, as to how one can fulfil dreams at any age, even without any means, from the most remote places possible,” said NH Studioz producer Shreyans Hirawat.
The makers also stated that the film will promote sustainability by taking a carbon-negative approach throughout its production.
