At the second One-Day International of the three-match series against West Indies on July 24 at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, Axar Patel’s 64 not out off 35 balls assisted India in chasing down a 312-run mark. With it, India secured an unbeatable 2-0 series lead. Earlier, West Indies set India a target of 312 runs thanks to Shai Hope’s century (115 runs off 135 balls).

After the home captain won the toss and decided to bat first against India in the game, Nicholas Pooran’s 74 off 77 also played a significant role in helping Windies reach a score of over 300. The best bowler was
Shardul Thakur, who had a 3 for 54 ratio.
