President Droupadi Murmu presented the ‘National Awards to Teachers 2022’ to 46 selected awardees on the occasion of Teacher’s Day or Shishak Parv on September 5 in order to recognise the unique contributions of some of the country’s finest teachers.
The event will take place at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi at 11 a.m., according to the Ministry of Education. It has been announced that 46 teachers from across the country have been chosen for the honour.
Teachers were chosen from Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, and Telangana, among other states.
The ‘National Awards for teachers 2022’ will be given to teachers who, through their dedication and hard work have enriched the lives of students by improving the quality of school education.

Every year on September 5, the Ministry of Education hosts a ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan to honour the country’s best teachers. The teachers were chosen in three stages through a rigorous, transparent, and online selection process.
PM Modi to interact with winners of ‘National Awards to Teachers 2022′
Meanwhile, on Teachers’ Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet with the winners of the ‘National Awards to Teachers 2022′ at his residence at 4.30 p.m.
Notably, the day is celebrated across the country as Teacher’s Day in honour of former President Dr. S Radhakrishnan, a philosopher-author and India’s second President born on September 5, 1888. Teacher’s
Day was established in 1962 to honour the former President and all teachers across the country.
