5G services are now available in India, with Airtel and Jio launching them in select cities. Although 5G promises 10x faster speed than a 4G network, most brands have yet to offer network support on their devices in India, with the exception of Apple, which has been working with network providers to test the 5G network performance on various iPhone models in India.
Apple’s older iPhone models, up to and including the iPhone 12 series, are 5G network compatible in India. And a new Apple update will soon enable 5G on all of these devices.
So, Apple merely needs to issue an iOS 16 update to enable 5G for its iPhone models in India. And that’s exactly what Apple is doing now, with the roll out of the iOS 16.2 beta version, which should become a public release by next month. How can one tell if their iPhone model is compatible with India’s 5G networks and how does one enable it?

– Click on Mobile Data – Mobile Data option
