Ambee, a global platform for hyperlocal and geospatial datasets on air quality, weather, pollen, soil, water vapour, and fire, announced on Thursday that it will be an early adopter of Nasa’s Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, Ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Mission.

PACE is currently in the design phase of mission development, according to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). It is set to launch in 2024, adding to and improving Nasa’s 20-year record of satellite observations of global ocean biology, aerosols, and clouds. The collected data will be used by the scientific community, including universities and government agencies, to forecast weather and conduct research that will aid in climate change mitigation.

“We are excited to be a part of Nasa’s PACE mission,” said Madhusudhan Anand, CTO and co-founder of Ambee. Ambee’s mission is to help people breathe cleaner air by providing accurate, real-time, actionable air quality data to governments, businesses, and individuals in order to improve everyone’s lives. This collaboration with Nasa and PACE scientists will enable us to develop comprehensive solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change and strengthen our vision of creating a healthier, cleaner, and better world.”
