The non-governmental organisation (NGO) Together We Can Foundation (TWCF), which promotes food safety awareness, organ donation, employment creation, and the welfare of women and children, has announced a “Cloth Donation” drive in Ambala to commemorate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of the country’s 75th Independence Day celebration.
From August 13 to August 15, TWCF will be giving out National Tri-Color and sweets to more than 200 people as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.
Punam Gupta established TWCF in 2019, and it is officially incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act of 2013. The NGO has developed into one of Ambala’s top organisations dedicated to promoting human welfare.
Special invitation to NGO to attend the “Helping Hand” programme
The II Corps of the Indian Army, also known as Kharga Corps, with headquarters in Ambala, has extended a special invitation to the NGO to attend the “Helping Hand” programme on August 23. TWCF is the first non-profit organisation from Ambala to participate in Kharga Corps’ Helping Hand programme there.
The indigent and underprivileged were helped admirably by TWCF during the coronavirus-caused lockdown in Ambala. The NGO gave masks, sanitizers, and hand gloves to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in addition to helping hundreds of people find employment.
Punam Gupta, the founder of TWCF, said, “Our main objective is Food Safety Awareness and training. Till now, we have trained more than 5,000 people from across Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh on
food safety”. “We also run awareness programmes on organ donation where more than 150 people in Ambala have pledged to donate their organs.”
Gupta informed that TWCF has been registered under section 12AA and approved under Section 80G (5) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 and listed in the NITI Aayog and CSR.
