IN EUROPE, SRI SRI RAVI SHANKAR LAUNCHES THE “I STAND FOR PEACE” CAMPAIGN, URGING THE WORLD TO “DISPEL DARKNESS.”

On 27TH of April, the founder of the Art of Living, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, launched the “I Stand with Peace” campaign from the United Nations office in Geneva.

He asked global forces of peace and sanity to join forces to promote harmony, human values, and interdependence, as well as to remove the society’s gloom and mistrust, through the campaign.

When there is a crisis, when they feel threatened, or when they are wise, people band together.

I have a question: “Can’t individuals come together for something great, something that can bring society together?” In his address to the United Nations, Ravi Shankar remarked.

significance of people building emotional resilience

During a pandemic, he also stressed the significance of people building emotional resilience.

“We can make world peace a reality if each person makes an intention to stand up for peace and attention to their mental health. Individual serenity is not attainable without global peace, according to the spiritual leader.

“In the past so many years, conflicts have occurred when trust has been destroyed or communication has broken down among people,” Ravi Shankar stated, addressing “the core cause of conflict.”

I believe that every criminal harbors a victim who is pleading for help: Sri Sri Ravishankar

Ravi Shankar has performed in Germany, Poland, and Switzerland, where tens of thousands of people greeted him. The programme will be expanded to over 30 locations across the United States in the coming month. During his quick European journey, he met policymakers, diplomats, and thousands of Art of Living volunteers who assisted during the Covid-19 outbreak and in rehabilitating Ukrainian refugees.

Sri Sri Ravishankar also met with Gilles Carbonnier, Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, to discuss his vision of a society that is safer, less violent, and less stressful (ICRC). “We discussed humanitarian and peace efforts in today’s conflicts, commonalities between humanitarian values and many religious precepts, and the opportunity for future encounters,” Carbonnier wrote on Twitter.
