Prime Minister Narendra Modi visit Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: To participate in and inaugurate several programs aimed at empowering women in the region. He would transfer Rs.1,000 crores into the bank accounts of Self-Help Groups during the occasion, which will assist roughly 16 lakh women.
Latest update on PM Modi’s visit to Prayagraj: On December 21, 2021, Prime Minister Modi will visit Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, to participate in a “one-of-a-kind program” that will be attended by over 2 lakh women. At roughly 1 p.m., the event in a poll-bound state will take place. The Prayagraj program is being held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of empowering women, particularly at the grassroots level, by providing them with the necessary skills, resources, and incentives. With the forthcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, this will be PM Modi’s second visit to the state.

PM Modi is in Prayagraj to take part in a women’s empowerment program:

To assist women in Prayagraj, the Prime Minister will transfer Rs.1,000 crores into the bank accounts of Self-Help Groups. It will help about 16 lakh women who are members of SHGs.

PM Modi transferring the funds

PM Modi will transfer the funds during his visit to Prayagraj as part of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM). 80,000 SHGs would get a Community Investment Fund (CIF) of Rs.1.10 lakh per Self Help Group, and 60,000 SHGs will receive an Rs.15,000 Revolving Fund.

Encourage the Business Correspondent Sakhis (BC-Sakhis) by transferring Rs.4000 to the 20,000 BC-Sakhis account as the first month’s stipend.
BC-Sakhis would be paid a stipend of Rs.4,000 for six months when they begin providing doorstep financial services at the grassroots level. It will assist them in achieving work stability.

2. Using the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Scheme to transfer funds

PM Modi will also disburse a total of Rs.20 crores to over 1 lakh beneficiaries under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangala Scheme during his visit to Prayagraj.
It offers a girl child a conditional monetary transfer at various phases of her life. The scheme’s total transfer will be Rs.15,000 per beneficiary.
• 2,000 rupees at birth
• Rs.1,000 for completing a year’s worth of vaccinations.
• To be admitted to Class I, you must pay a fee of Rs.2000.
• Rs.2,000 on admission to Class VI
• 3,000 rupees on admission to Class IX
After graduating Class X or XII, there is a fee of Rs.5,000 for admission to any degree or certificate program.

3. Establish Supplementary Nutrition Manufacturing Units as a foundation.

A foundation stone for 202 Supplementary Nutrition Manufacturing Units will be placed during PM Modi’s visit to Prayagraj. The Self-Help Groups will pay for these units.
Supplementary Nutrition Manufacturing Units would also deliver Supplementary Nutrition to 600 blocks across the state under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS).
