On 19th July, the Indian women’s team faced off against the Pakistan women’s team in the Women’s Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. Pakistani captain Nida Dar won the toss and chose to bat first, a decision that did not work in their favor. Indian bowlers dominated the game, preventing Pakistan from completing their 20 overs and bowling them out for 108 runs in 19.2 overs.
Pakistan Struggles Against India’s Bowling Attack
Sidra Amin was the top scorer for Pakistan with 25 runs. Tooba Hasan and Fatima Hasan each contributed 22 runs. Other Pakistani batters struggled, with Muniba Ali scoring 11, Nida Dar 8, Aliya Riaz 6, and Gul Firozha 5 runs. Deepti Sharma was the star bowler for India, taking 3 wickets.
