The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has been named the ‘Best Airport Staff in India and South Asia’ in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2022, according to GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL).
Ranked 63 in world top 100 airports league
The airport has also progressed in its overall ranking, moving from 64th position in 2021 to 63rd position in 2022 World’s Top 100 Airport league.

Other ranks the airport holds
Other accolades airport bagged include second rank for Best Regional Airport in India and South Asia 2022, third rank for Cleanest Airport in India and South Asia 2022, and fourth rank for Best Regional Airport in Asia 2022.
Award ceremony held in Paris
The trophy was presented to GMR Hyderabad International Airport at an award ceremony held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Paris, said a press release.
About Skytrax World Airport Awards
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, as determined by customers in the world’s largest annual airport customer satisfaction survey.
They are regarded as the global airport industry’s quality benchmark, assessing customer service and facilities at over 550 airports. The survey and awards are completely independent of airport management or input.
