The Dubai Police have honoured Tariq Mahmood Khalid Mahmood, an Indian national resident, for handing over Dhs1,000,000 cash ,found in the elevator of his residential building to the Al Barsha Police Station.
Praised for his honesty
Director of Al Barsha Police Station, Brigadier Abdul Rahim bin Shafi, praised Mahmood for his honesty and handing over the large sum to the nearest police station.
Awarded Mahmood with certificate of appreciation
Brig Bin Shafi also awarded Mahmood with a certificate of appreciation to emphasise the importance of collaboration between the community and police. Brig Bin Shafi further reaffirmed the Dubai Police’s keenness on strengthening the concept of community partnership and reinforcing the sense of responsibility among individuals.
Mahmood thanked the Dubai Police for honouring him and expressed that this award gives him great pride and joy.
Dubai taxi driver has also been honored for his honesty
The Al Qusais Police Station has honoured Dubai taxi driver Abdulraheem Mzomidier Rajeef for his honesty as he had handed the police station a handbag containing some cash, official documents, and passports forgotten by a passenger.
Director of Al Qusais Police Station, Brigadier Abdulhalim Muhammad Ahmad Al Hashimi, thanked the Bengali driver on behalf of the force and praised his positive response to emphasise the importance of the collaboration between the community and police.
Rajeef thanked the Dubai Police for this generous gesture and said that it was everyone duty to return valuable possessions found to their owners or hand them to the nearest police stations.
High school student is also honored for handing over a wallet
Earlier, Al Qusais Police Station has honored the high school student by visiting his school for his honesty as he handed over a wallet he found in the Lulu Village to the Station.
