Meet a mentor behind 200 remarkable innovations honored with 13 President Awards & 2 Padma Shris

Brigadier (Retd) P Ganesham has embarked on a remarkable mission that has led him to the heart of innovation. Venturing into remote corners of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, he seeks out untapped brilliance and hidden ingenuity. Through his organization, Palle Srujana, founded in November 2005 after his retirement from the Indian Army, he conducts ‘Shodha Yatras’ to unearth rural talent and empower them to scale their innovations.

Discovering Unseen Potential:

With nearly two decades of dedication, Brigadier P Ganesham has uncovered over 200 rural innovators, giving them a platform to shine. Notably, among them is Padma Shri recipient Chintakindi Mallesham, who revolutionized the weaving of Pochampalli silk sarees with his ingenious Laxmi ASU machine.

A Journey Ignited by Soldier’s Acumen:

Brigadier Ganesham’s journey into the realm of innovation traces back to his service in the Indian Army. His interaction with grassroot innovators among soldiers sparked a passion for recognizing and nurturing their ideas.

Honoring Innovation:

The impact of his efforts is resoundingly evident – out of the pool of 200 innovations, 26 are primed for sale, 24 boast patents, and an impressive 13 have been honored with prestigious President Awards. Additionally, 2 innovators guided by him have been bestowed with the revered Padma Shri awards. These astounding prototypes come to life within Brigadier’s abode in Vayupuri, Secunderabad.

Brigadier P Ganesham’s guidance extends beyond just recognition. His tireless efforts have propelled innovators onto national platforms, securing them loans for manufacturing and scaling up their creations. In total, his endeavors have generated a substantial financial assistance of nearly four crore rupees for these visionaries.
