President Droupadi Murmu launched the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign, a revolutionary effort aimed at making healthcare accessible to all Indians. This virtual event marks a significant step toward achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

The inauguration will be attended by Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare Bharati Pravin Pawar and SP Singh Baghel, and other prominent figures. Governors, Chief Ministers, State Ministers, and officials from all States and Union Territories will join virtually.

‘Ayushman Bhav’ Campaign Details

Initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the ‘Ayushman Bhav’ campaign aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to every village and town in India. It builds on the success of the Ayushman Bharat program and signifies a major shift in healthcare services.

The campaign, running from September 17 to October 2 during ‘Seva Pakhwada,’ embraces a collaborative approach, involving government sectors, civil society organizations, and communities. The goal is to ensure everyone receives essential health services without discrimination.

Key Components

The campaign includes three vital components: Ayushman – Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Melas at Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) and Community Health Centres (CHCs), and Ayushman Sabhas in every village and panchayat. These elements aim to extend healthcare coverage, offer early diagnosis, primary care services, teleconsultations, and raise awareness about health schemes and conditions.

Ayushman Bhav campaign Vision

Aligned with the vision of creating ‘Healthy Villages’ and ‘Healthy Gram Panchayats,’ the Ayushman Bhav campaign seeks to lay the foundation for Universal Health Coverage in India. Panchayats that successfully implement health schemes will earn the title of ‘Ayushman Gram Panchayat’ or ‘Ayushman Urban Ward,’ symbolizing their commitment to equitable healthcare provision.
